Food & Wine
2-Day Itinerary – Food & Wine
Two days allow you to explore the area at a calmer pace, moving from coastal villages to rural hamlets. The journey becomes a journey through Ligurian cuisine, local wines, terraced fields, and places where agricultural traditions are still alive.
Suggested Itinerary
Day 1 – Flavors in the villages
Spend a leisurely morning exploring the scenic streets and local shops of Riomaggiore or Manarola. Enjoy a lunch of fresh seafood and Ligurian specialties. In the afternoon, head to a wine bar to taste local varietals, then crown the day with a village dinner savoring traditional, authentic flavors.
Day 2 – Groppo, Volastra, and “heroic” viticulture
Head to Groppo or Volastra, either on foot or by local transport. Here, the landscape shifts: the sea recedes into the background as terraced vineyards, olive groves, and dry-stone walls take center stage. Enjoy a wine tasting at a local winery, enoteca, or farmstead before returning in the late afternoon for dinner in Riomaggiore or Manarola
